Community Care Chemist (CCC) is excited to announce the appointment of Ben Flynn as new Chief Executive Officer.
Ben is a familiar face in the Geelong business community, having previously served as CEO of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce and as head of marketing at GenU.
Appointed following “an extensive and comprehensive recruitment campaign”, Ben replaces outgoing CEO Nick Salkeld after three years in the role.
“I’m really proud to have been selected as Community Care Chemist’s next CEO and look forward to serving our members and the Geelong community,” Ben said.
With his extensive leadership experience, business acumen and a strong commitment to enhancing the health outcomes of local residents, Ben is well-placed to lead CCC into its next chapter.
“I see so much opportunity to build on the history and achievements of this 125-year-old organisation for the benefit of generations to come.”
Ben said he was looking forward to getting to know the organisation’s 100 staff across five stores and meeting customers and members.
Board Chair Rebecca Leonard thanked Nick Salkeld for his “extensive contribution” to the organisation – as CEO over the past three years, as well as in previous roles as CCC’s Chief Operating Officer and manager of the former Apollo Bay pharmacy.
“There has been no doubt about Nick’s unwavering commitment to CCC – to our people and our customers – and we wish Nick all the best for his next endeavours,” she said.
“Ben and Nick have worked to ensure a smooth handover and the Board is looking forward to this next phase of the CCC journey. I am confident that Ben will be a great addition to the team at CCC,” Rebecca said.
